Air France will expand its presence in the Middle East with the addition of Riyadh to its network.

From May 19, the Paris, France-based airline will launch a new thrice-weekly service (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Riyadh – the capital of Saudi Arabia. Services on the new route will then be increased to five-weekly flights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday) from June 2.

Air France will use its Airbus A350-900 aircraft with 324 seats – 34 Business, 24 Premium, and 266 Economy – on the route.

With the addition of Air France's entry to Riyadh, all three Air France-KLM Group carriers will offer direct flights between Europe and Saudi Arabia. KLM currently operates flights from Amsterdam-Schipol to Riyadh and Dammam, while Transavia France operates flights from Paris-Orly and Lyon to Jeddah.
